PCQ - The Bardon Shed (15/12/18)
Nick and I planned to join the local Queensland Porsche Club for their Bardon Shed Breakfast catch up this morning. However, given the weather report, we were a little apprehensive. The skies were grey; the day ahead looked dark, dull and dismal. With an impending storm threatening to prevent the event altogether, a feeling of uncertainty surrounded us. Should we go? Will anyone else be there?
Pushing these thoughts to the side, we set off for The Bardon Shed, and aren’t we glad we did!
The carpark was overflowing with Porsches, people and life! A striking difference to the rest of the world. A rainbow of vibrant colours adorned the parking lot, with clusters of people admiring the vehicles on show. Stories were shared, and coffees were enjoyed.
At one point, all the chatter and laughter came to a halt once a particular 356 pulled in. Silence fell as we took in every aspect of the stunning, silver masterpiece.
It was a great morning and I'd like to say thank you to the organiser and members of the Porsche Club. You always make us feel welcomed in this wonderful community of car enthusiasts.
